As the industry domains become increasingly complex and competitive worldwide, organizations are looking to hire undergraduates who would fit into their company culture and deliver value day-one on job. However, there seems to be a fundamental industry-academia SKILL and KNOWLEDGE gap in India. Industry reports mention that India produces over 365,000 engineering graduates and 3,000,000 other graduates every year, out of which hardly 20 percent are suited to the industry needs.

Moreover, companies are looking to hire graduates who understand the business challenges while developing products or solutions for any particular industry.

There seems to be an urgent need to bridge the industry-academia SKILL and KNOWLEDGE gap. The fundamental challenge of industry-academia SKILL gap needs to be addressed at the grassroots level. The simple question we all need to ask ourselves is “Why are some individuals better than most others and what do they do differently?”

Our experience, expertise and passion in developing the TALENT, SKILL and KNOWLEDGE at the grassroots level to bridge the industry-academia SKILL and KNOWLEDGE gap led to the conceptualization and genesis of Corporate Gurukul.
