Dr. Kwoh Chee Keong is currently in the School of Computer Science and Engineering since 1993. He is also the Executive Deputy Director of Centre for Professional and Continuing Education, PaCE@NTU.
Dr. Kwoh's main interests lie in the desire to making sense of big heterogeneous data by applying various AI, Machine Learning and Data Analytics methodologies for real application in engineering, life science, medical and manufacturing. These include: Data Analytics and Mining, Soft Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Statistical Inference, Learning with Unlabeled Data, Meta and Ensemble learning.
He has done significant research work his research areas applying various Machine Learning and Data Analytics methodologies and published many quality international conferences and journal papers.

He received his BSc in Mathematics, BSc in Physics, MSc in Statistics from Stanford University, and PhD in Physics from Harvard University.He works on various problems in statistical and biological physics such as complex networks, control theory, phase transitions, biomechanical models, stochastic processes, etc.

Mr. Shantanu Pandey is a technology consultant who has worked on AI engines, systems, applications and portals for clients like TaxiForSure, OneIndia, CultureMachine, TableConnection, Canara Bank, HotWatch and more, with mix and match of tech. He has been training at NUS, Singapore for last 3 years conducting courses on AI, Machine Learning and IoT.
His passion for programming started at the age of six with C++ in the hope of developing games, and the awe of science has pushed him since then. After his stint with Microsoft, he got excited about the start-up ecosystem and eventually started his own company. He has also been associated with NUS and Corporate Gurukul and trained more than 10,000 students worldwide.

AIYA combines LIVE learning and LIVE internship. It is a 12-week long programme designed for high school students in grades 8 through 12 to understand and apply the fundamental concepts of AI. Students understand the logic and math behind different models that enable chatbots, self-driving cars, image recognition and much more.

The academic internship is conducted by Corporate Gurukul Pte. Ltd., Singapore in association and certified by:
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore
- Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Education
Where is AIYA conducted?
It is a LIVE online academic internship conducted via Zoom Video Communication
Is it an academic internship or a training programme?
It is an academic internship, which is a hands-on guided experience in an academic environment to hone industry-relevant skills and knowledge in a chosen domain with mentorship and training by university professor(s) and industry professional(s).
How is AIYA different from other AI programmes/internships?
- It is a low code/no code internship
- Students understand the logic that powers the complex AI algorithms instead of straight away diving into code.
- The faculty is from #12 university and industry AI frontiers. They have at least 5+ years of experience in AI teaching and research.
- Students get certified by NTU, Singapore and HPE. They can even earn a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) if they bag the best project title!
- AIYA is a popular choice for students from India, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Students collaborate in teams with a global audience.
Can Corporate Gurukul help students who want to pursue higher studies at NTU?
Our faculties and project managers will be able to guide you to the admissions department. You will need to explore opportunities on your own with the admissions department based on your area of passion and interest for higher studies.
How do I apply?
The process of application is given in the Fact sheet which you can download via the website. Upon filling the application form on website, one of our counsellors will be in touch with you to take it forward and assist you with the enrollment. You may also enrol through our website and make the payment via a Debit/Credit card or Online Banking.
What are the entry requirements?

Do I need to be studying Computer Science to attend this programme?
No, our course is specially designed to ensure that students from all streams and areas of study can easily understand the concepts taught at this internship.
Is the programme open to students from any school?
Yes, students studying in the ICSE, CBSE, IB MYP, IB DP and IGCSE boards can apply for the programme. Students can be of any nationality, ethnicity and belong to any country!
Are the dates confirmed for the academic internship?
The schedule, date and time are subject to change based on the availability of professor(s) from NTU and professionals from HPE Education. Prior notice will be given to all concerned parties on the change of date and the best efforts will be made by Corporate Gurukul to accommodate all parties when deciding the revised schedule, date and time.
What is the selection criteria?
All applications are scrutinized on the basis of:
- Overall academic performance (grades) in current year or previous year
- Career Goals – Should be aligned to solving business or social challenges problems using AI
What is the last date to pay for the registration fees?

What are the programme fee inclusions?

Which certificate(s) and transcript(s) will I get after completion of this academic internship?

What are the requirements to earn all the programme completion documents?
Issuance of all certificates and the LoR will be at Corporate Gurukul’s discretion subject to:
- the participant’s performance
- completion of assignments and
- 90% attendance during the academic internship
When will I get the entitled documents?
The e-certificates will be issued to you after 45 working days post-completion of the internship.
Where are the hands-on sessions conducted?
The hands-on sessions are conducted Online via Zoom Video Communication
Do I need my own laptop for the academic internship?
Laptop with the specifications mentioned in ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP PREREQUISITES is MANDATORY for all participants.
Do we visit HPE office for the HPE Education part of the curriculum?
No. The entire academic internship is delivered online.
Are we divided into groups for projects and assignments?
Yes, you will be assigned teams for project work and assignments. These teams typically consist of 4-5 members.
Can we choose our team members?
No, the team members are assigned by Corporate Gurukul team in consultation with the professor(s). They are created keeping in mind that the prerequisite readiness and a proper mix of students from various institutions. Any request for choice of team member will not be entertained.
How do we submit the projects/assignments?
All assignments and projects will be submitted on the Learning Management System, Acadly.
Are assignments given daily? By when do we submit them?
Assignments will be given after every session and need to be submitted as per specified deadline. You may be required to work on the assignments in teams or individually as per the nature of assignment.
How many projects do we do during the programme?
You are required to complete one project during the duration of the programme. This will be done in teams.
When does the project presentation happen?
The project presentations will be conducted post the HPE and NTU sessions.
Are both HPE and NTU sessions graded?
Yes, both HPE and NTU sessions will be graded.
When are the MCQ sessions conducted?
The MCQ Quiz will be conducted during the session.
What if I get delayed in submissions?
Any late submissions of project, assignments or quizzes beyond specified deadline will carry negative marks.

Which certificate(s) and transcript(s) will I get after completion of this academic internship?

What are the requirements to earn all the programme completion documents?
Issuance of all certificates and the LoR will be at Corporate Gurukul’s discretion subject to:
- the participant’s performance
- completion of assignments and
- 90% attendance during the academic internship
When will I get the entitled documents?
The e-certificates will be issued to you after 45 working days post-completion of the internship.
Where are the hands-on sessions conducted?
The hands-on sessions are conducted Online via Zoom Video Communication
Do I need my own laptop for the academic internship?
Laptop with the specifications mentioned in ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP PREREQUISITES is MANDATORY for all participants.
Do we visit HPE office for the HPE Education part of the curriculum?
No. The entire academic internship is delivered online.
Are we divided into groups for projects and assignments?
Yes, you will be assigned teams for project work and assignments. These teams typically consist of 4-5 members.
Can we choose our team members?
No, the team members are assigned by Corporate Gurukul team in consultation with the professor(s). They are created keeping in mind that the prerequisite readiness and a proper mix of students from various institutions. Any request for choice of team member will not be entertained.
How do we submit the projects/assignments?
All assignments and projects will be submitted on the Learning Management System, Acadly.
Are assignments given daily? By when do we submit them?
Assignments will be given after every session and need to be submitted as per specified deadline. You may be required to work on the assignments in teams or individually as per the nature of assignment.
How many projects do we do during the programme?
You are required to complete one project during the duration of the programme. This will be done in teams.
When does the project presentation happen?
The project presentations will be conducted post the HPE and NTU sessions.
Are both HPE and NTU sessions graded?
Yes, both HPE and NTU sessions will be graded.
When are the MCQ sessions conducted?
The MCQ Quiz will be conducted during the session.
What if I get delayed in submissions?
Any late submissions of project, assignments or quizzes beyond specified deadline will carry negative marks.
