• use our counselling, profile-building, admissions, research, internship, immersion, travel-support or related services;
• attend an event, webinar, workshop, campus visit or programme delivered by us or with a partner;
• communicate with us, take part in a survey or promotion, apply for a role, or otherwise interact with us.

In this Notice, “Corporate Gurukul,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Corporate Gurukul Pte. Ltd. and the Corporate Gurukul entity or affiliate responsible for the relevant service. “Personal data” means information about an identified or identifiable individual.

This Notice should be read together with any programme-specific notice, consent form or terms provided to you. If another organisation, such as a university, school, corporate partner, accommodation provider or payment provider, collects personal data for its own purposes, its own privacy notice will also apply.

Corporate Gurukul provides applied experiential learning and education services, including school and university programmes, global immersion experiences, academic internships, guided research, profile building, university admissions guidance, institutional partnerships, and programme-related travel and logistics support.

To help us respond, please state that your request concerns privacy and describe the relevant programme or interaction. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

1. Identity and contact information — name, date of birth, age, gender where relevant, photograph, postal address, email address, telephone number, country of residence, nationality, and government-issued identifiers where reasonably necessary.
2. Parent, guardian and emergency-contact information — names, relationship to the participant, contact details, consent records and emergency-contact details, particularly for participants who are minors.
3. Education and professional information — school or university, course, year of study, grades or transcripts, qualifications, résumé, skills, interests, career goals, employment information, portfolios, statements, recommendations and other application materials.
4. Programme and assessment information — programme preferences, applications, interviews, attendance, participation, project work, research submissions, mentor or faculty feedback, assessments, certificates, scholarship information and programme outcomes.
5. Admissions and counselling information — university preferences, application plans, counselling notes, application documents, offer outcomes and information needed to provide profile-building or admissions support.
6. Payment and transaction information — billing details, fee status, invoices, refunds, scholarships and transaction references. Payment-card or banking data may be collected directly by an authorised payment provider; we generally receive confirmation and limited transaction details rather than complete card information.
7. Travel, accommodation and safety information — passport and visa information, travel itinerary, accommodation details, dietary or accessibility requirements, emergency information, insurance details and limited health information where needed to arrange or safely deliver a programme.
8. Communications and preferences — enquiries, emails, calls, messages, survey responses, feedback, complaints, marketing preferences and records of our communications with you. Calls or online sessions may be recorded where you are notified and where permitted by law.
9. Photos, audio, video and testimonials — images or recordings made during programmes and events, and testimonials you choose to provide. Where required, we will obtain separate consent for promotional use, especially for minors.
10. Website and device information — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, dates and times of access, approximate location, cookie identifiers and interaction or analytics data.
11. Institutional and partner information — information provided by a school, university, employer, sponsor, referral partner, faculty member or mentor in connection with your eligibility, nomination, participation or outcomes.
12. Recruitment information — information in a job application, résumé, interview, reference, background check and right-to-work record if you apply to work with us.

Please do not provide sensitive personal data unless we request it and it is reasonably necessary for a stated purpose.

We may collect personal data:

• directly from you through forms, applications, interviews, registrations, payments, surveys and communications;
• from your parent, guardian or authorised representative;
• from a school, university, employer, sponsor, programme partner, mentor, faculty member, referee or referral partner;
• from service providers involved in payments, events, travel, accommodation, learning platforms, communications or programme administration;
• automatically when you use our websites and digital services; and
• from public sources or professional platforms where lawful and relevant, for example to verify academic or professional information or to consider a prospective partner or candidate.

If you give us personal data about another person, you must be authorised to do so and, where required, ensure that the person has been informed of this Notice.

We may collect, use and disclose personal data for the following purposes, where permitted by applicable law:

• responding to enquiries and recommending suitable programmes;
• assessing eligibility, processing applications and registrations, and administering scholarships;
• entering into and performing our agreement with you or the organisation sponsoring you;
• delivering programmes, teaching, mentoring, research, internships, assessments, certificates and learner support;
• providing profile-building, counselling and university admissions guidance;
• coordinating with universities, schools, corporate partners, faculty, mentors, project hosts and certification partners;
• arranging payments, refunds, travel, visas, insurance, accommodation, meals, accessibility support, safeguarding and emergency response;
• communicating schedules, service announcements, safety information, changes and programme updates;
• maintaining learner and alumni records and verifying participation, credentials or outcomes;
• obtaining feedback, evaluating programme quality, conducting analytics and improving our services;
• operating, securing, troubleshooting and preventing misuse of our websites, systems and services;
• protecting the health, safety, rights and property of participants, staff, partners and others;
• preventing, detecting and investigating fraud, misconduct, security incidents or violations of our terms;
• complying with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, insurance and reporting obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims;
• managing institutional partnerships and business relationships;
• recruiting and managing personnel; and
• sending news, invitations and information about programmes where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out of marketing at any time.

Where laws require a legal basis for processing, we rely, as applicable, on your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests, and our or another party’s legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We will request explicit consent where required for sensitive data, direct marketing, non-essential cookies, or promotional use of a minor’s image.

We will not use personal data for a materially different purpose without giving appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required.

We may disclose relevant personal data, on a need-to-know basis, to:

• Corporate Gurukul affiliates and authorised personnel;
• universities, schools, academic institutes, corporate partners, faculty, mentors, internship or project hosts, certification bodies and other programme-delivery partners;
• a participant’s parent, guardian, sponsoring institution or authorised representative, consistent with applicable law and the relevant arrangement;
• service providers supporting hosting, cloud storage, learning platforms, customer relationship management, email and messaging, analytics, cybersecurity, payment processing, accounting, background verification, customer support and document management;
• travel agents, visa-support providers, embassies or authorities, airlines, local transport providers, insurers, accommodation providers, venues, caterers and healthcare or emergency providers where relevant to a programme;
• professional advisers, auditors, insurers and financial institutions;
• government, regulatory, law-enforcement, judicial or other authorities where required or permitted by law; and
• an actual or proposed purchaser, investor or successor in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, sale or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

Some programme partners may determine independently how they use personal data. Where they do, they act under their own privacy notices. We encourage you to review those notices.

We do not sell personal data for money. We also do not permit service providers to use personal data for their own purposes except as authorised by us or required by law.

Corporate Gurukul operates internationally, including in Singapore and India, and many programmes involve international universities, corporate partners and travel. Your personal data may therefore be accessed, stored or processed outside the country where it was collected. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps required by applicable law to ensure an appropriate and comparable level of protection. These steps may include contractual protections, due diligence on recipients, access controls, transfer assessments and obtaining consent where required.

Some Corporate Gurukul programmes are designed for school students, including participants under 18. We take additional care when handling their personal data.

Where required by law, we obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian before collecting or using a child’s personal data. We may also collect details directly from the child where appropriate for the programme, using clear and age-appropriate explanations. We seek to collect only what is reasonably necessary for enrolment, learning, safeguarding, travel, emergency support and programme delivery.

Parents and guardians should not submit a child’s information unless they have authority to do so. If you believe a child’s personal data was provided without the required authorisation, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Promotional use of a minor’s photograph, recording, testimonial or project will be based on separate permission where required. Refusing optional promotional consent will not prevent participation in a programme.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• operate essential website functions and maintain security;
• remember choices and preferences;
• understand website traffic and performance;
• improve content and user experience; and
• measure or support communications and marketing, where permitted.

Where required by law, we will ask for consent before placing analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies. You can use our cookie controls, if displayed, or your browser settings to accept, reject or delete cookies. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

Third-party tools embedded in our website may set their own cookies and process information under their own privacy notices. Our cookie banner or cookie settings should identify the current tools and cookie categories in use.

We may send programme updates, event invitations or other marketing communications where you have consented or where applicable law otherwise permits. You can opt out by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying with the stated opt-out instruction, adjusting available preferences, or contacting us.

Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages that are necessary for an enquiry, application, registration or programme. We may retain limited suppression information so that we can respect your opt-out.

We take reasonable steps to keep personal data accurate and complete where it is likely to be used to make a decision about you or disclosed to another organisation. Please provide accurate information and notify us if it changes, particularly information relevant to eligibility, travel, safety or emergency support.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, loss or similar risks. Measures may include role-based access, authentication controls, secure transmission and storage, backups, monitoring, staff training, vendor controls and incident-response procedures, as appropriate to the risk.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess it and notify affected individuals and regulators where required by law.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Notice, meet contractual commitments, protect participants, maintain appropriate academic and certification records, resolve disputes and comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, insurance and regulatory requirements.

Retention periods vary by record type and context. In deciding how long to retain data, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the data, the risk of harm, the purpose of processing, applicable limitation periods and legal or partner requirements. When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete, destroy or anonymise the data.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

• be informed about how your personal data is handled;
• request access to personal data we hold about you and information about its use or disclosure;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• withdraw consent, including consent to marketing, with reasonable notice;
• request deletion or erasure of personal data;
• object to or request restriction of certain processing;
• receive certain personal data in a portable format;
• nominate another person to exercise rights where applicable;
• ask for information about relevant cross-border safeguards; and

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing already carried out lawfully. It may also prevent us from providing a service where the relevant data is necessary; if so, we will explain the likely consequences.

Submit a request using the details in Section 3. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may request identity verification, seek clarification, refuse or limit a request where legally permitted, and charge a reasonable fee where the law allows and the circumstances justify it.

Our websites and communications may link to services operated by universities, schools, corporate partners, university partners, social-media platforms or other third parties. We do not control their privacy practices. This Notice applies only to personal data handled by or on behalf of Corporate Gurukul, and you should review the privacy notice of each third-party service you use.

We may update this Notice to reflect changes in our services, practices, technology or legal obligations. We will publish the updated version on our website and revise the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
