About GAIP: AI, Robotics and Design

At SUTD, students don't just imagine the future - they design it.

The Global Academic Internship Programme (GAIP): AI, Robotics and Design is an immersive 10-day residential experience at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), designed specifically for school students aged 13 and above.

SUTD integrates Design·AI and Technology into a bold, interdisciplinary education that empowers students to solve real-world problems with purpose and creativity. Human-centred innovation is in SUTD's DNA, and AI is not just a tool, but a partner in the way students learn, think and build.

Join this academic internship for an intensive hands-on experience that brings Design + AI to life — the SUTD way. SUTD was the first university globally to embed design thinking and innovation across its entire curriculum.

Key Focus Areas

  • Design Thinking: Human-centered design methodology and rapid ideation
  • Smart Robotics: Modular robotics, AI navigation, and sensor integration
